Our research
Glisson’s about page says the camp has gathered people near Cane Creek Falls since 1925 and is part of North Georgia Camp & Retreat Ministries of the United Methodist Church’s North Georgia Conference. It states ACA accreditation.
Overnight camps are Village (traditional residential), Outpost (beginner-friendly outdoor adventure), and Sparrowwood (campers with different developmental abilities and needs). Grow Day Camps are off-site at local churches.
Glisson publishes tiered session fees (standard / true-cost / good-neighbor language appears on its materials). We are not reprinting a single number from a PDF as if it were every week’s price. Use glisson.org registration.
Before you choose
Sparrowwood — a published overnight track for campers with mild to moderate developmental disabilities — is rare among church camps we listed.
Confirm these details for your child’s exact session:
- Eligible ages or grades, session dates, and whether a parent or church leader registers.
- Total cost, additional fees, payment deadlines, and refund terms before paying a deposit.
- Faith programming, daily schedule, and how the camp handles your child’s needs.
A detail worth knowing
Glisson is not one program. Village is traditional residential community. Outpost is beginner outdoor adventure. Sparrowwood is the disabilities track. Sending a typically developing 14-year-old to “Glisson” without picking a track is how families book the wrong week.
