Our research

Thousand Pines’ about page describes a 501(c)(3) Christ-centered camp and conference center in the San Bernardino mountains hosting children’s, youth, and adult program camps plus custom retreats.

The kids-camp page says the children’s program is designed for 3rd–6th graders and lists weekend dates. Summer pricing on that page: $340 per camper when you bring a counselor ($170 per counselor) or $540 when Thousand Pines provides the counselor.

That is a weekend mountain camp, not a Sunday-to-Saturday residential week. If you need a full week in California, look at a church-group week at Hume or Forest Home, or keep shopping — we will not invent a week-long Thousand Pines session that the kids page does not publish.

Before you choose

The published kids camp is a weekend, not a six-night sleepaway — and it is cheaper if your church brings the counselor.

Confirm these details for your child’s exact session:

Eligible ages or grades, session dates, and whether a parent or church leader registers.
Total cost, additional fees, payment deadlines, and refund terms before paying a deposit.
Faith programming, daily schedule, and how the camp handles your child’s needs.

A detail worth knowing

The $200 gap between “you bring a counselor” ($340) and “we provide a counselor” ($540) is the real decision. Churches that can send a screened adult should not pay the higher track by default.
