Our research
Cho-Yeh’s story page dates the camp to 1947 in Livingston, about an hour north of Houston. The mission on that page is “to be a place where Jesus Christ transforms lives through meaningful relationships and outdoor adventures.” CCCA and ECFA profiles describe it as nondenominational.
Overnight programs are published by entering grade: Explorers (1–5), Pathfinders (6–8), Sojourners (9–10), Capstone (11), plus Leaders in Training for graduating seniors. Day camp is entering grades 1–5.
Rates checked September 29, 2026: the dates-and-rates page says summer 2027 registration opens October 15, 2026, summer 2026 registration is closed, and updated dates and rates are coming soon. It also displays rate cards without a clear season label. We have not treated those cards as a confirmed 2027 price.
The official application is linked from the overnight program. The dates-and-rates page warns that its availability table is not real time. Confirm the exact program, tuition, registration fee, and session in that application before paying.
The published payment policy says tuition and forms are due 30 days before the session, or immediately when enrolling within 30 days. Cancellations within 24 hours receive a full refund; after that, the $150 registration fee ($300 for Quest) is nonrefundable. Cancellation within 30 days forfeits the full tuition. Check the current policy for the session you choose.
Before you choose
For 2027 costs, wait for the official dates-and-rates update or confirm with the registrar. The page mixes a future registration notice with rate cards that do not identify their season.
Confirm these details for your child’s exact session:
- Eligible ages or grades, session dates, and whether a parent or church leader registers.
- Total cost, additional fees, payment deadlines, and refund terms before paying a deposit.
- Faith programming, daily schedule, and how the camp handles your child’s needs.
A detail worth knowing
Cho-Yeh’s own announcement says Carolina Creek is now part of the Cho-Yeh family. Older “Carolina Creek Christian Camps” pages still circulate. Parents searching that name should start at cho-yeh.org, not a stale third-party listing.
